I got excited when I finally completed my 1988 Donruss set last month and YOU have an awesome set like this. That's funny. Seriously, awesome set and well worth showing off.
Still looks so nice!
This is all trade bait, right???? Haha... impressive, what a great set!
How long did it take to finish off the set?
@ Colbey ~ I think about a year. Maybe a bit more.Thanks fellas.
Congrats! It's an amazing set aesthetically.
Congratulations... This is a beautiful set... with an amazing checklist.Just curious... did you get that unique feeling when you acquired the final piece of your set... where you're excited, relieved, and a little bit (just a teeny bit) bummed that you won't have the thrill of the chase anymore? If so... I'm right there with ya... I have that feeling every time I finish a set. Thankfully the excitement and relief easily outweigh the disappointment.
@ Fooj ~ When the Duffy (#'d 2/5) arrived, I was amazed. There had been rumors for a couple of weeks that SpazMooos had found one. When I actually had it in hand, there was relief. I really thought I would have a great set of 88 out of 89 cards. I was reading a Beckett yesterday, and doing some eBay searching for my next set building project. It's not too much of a downer having it completed. You're right though, the chase is the thrill for me.
Very nice. I love the George Foster one, don't know why, just something about it. Congratulations!
