We had my in-laws, and step daughter over last night for a little celebrating and a game of Trivial Pursuit. The guys won. Question; Who's the only pitcher that faced Roger Maris and Sammy Sosa?
While searching through the trunk of games, I found these two packs of cards. They are 2006 cards. Four cards in a pack with the Topps Opening Day logo on them. Finding anything Ichiro in my collection is always fun. Why were they in the rarely opened trunk of board games? Why did I not open them back in 2006? Should I open them?
I'm heading over to my Mom and Dad's house to watch Michigan and Michigan State pound a couple of SEC schools today. Unfortunately, the games kick-off a half hour apart. The clicker will get worn out.
What a way to end the year... finding a new Ichiro to add to your collection... congratulations! The Maris/Sosa Trivial Pursuit question is a great one... is it Nolan Ryan?
ReplyDeleteOh... almost forgot... Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI was gonna say Ryan as well...maybe Blyleven?
ReplyDeleteOf course it could always be Jamie Moyer :)
Since Nolan Ryan was taken already, I'm going to guess Tom Seaver
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeletemoe.
It was Strasburg, duh, and he struck them both out with three 125-mph fastballs each. Definitely open the packs. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not looking so hot for Michigan and Michigan State.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year SMG!
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed Nolan Ryan.
