They Named a Pole After Him


The lone 1952 Topps from the cigar box is card number 15. The famous slap hitting infielder from the Boston Red Sox. Johnny Pesky only hit 17 home runs.

As you can see, the card has been well handled. The corners are rounded, and there is a crease through Johnny's  cap and right eye. The edges are dinged, and it's mis-cut. Ain't it glorious!

I think this is the first '52 Topps that I have ever handled.
