The cigar box yielded a group of cards that I had never seen. 1953 Bowman Black & White. The set is only 64 cards deep. The box had 59/64 cards. The big names, Johnny Mize, Bob Lemon, Andy Pafko, Hoyt Wilhelm, Gus Bell, and Casey Stengal.
There were two Mize's. Both have major flaws.
Another guy, Preacher Roe makes an appearance in doubles. Gotta like a guy named Preacher!
Hoyt Wilhelm, four times.
I will get around to more scans tomorrow. It's been a long day.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world.
Peace.
