The Utah Jazz pick the best available white guy. Shocking.
The Pistons, my home team, picked a soft big man. If they had lost one more game, they would have been picking 2 or 3. Turner or Cousins would be a Piston today. Not Monroe, a big man with great passing skills.
When the Pistons stink, the NBA ranks low on my sports radar. I watched zero minutes of the draft. The days of seeing a player for three or four years in college are gone. We barely know the players now coming out. Jarvis Varnado, Latavious Williams, Darington Hobson. Never heard of ya.
Monroe could be great for your Pistons actually, especially with all the shooters you have on the wings. He can feed them and somehow rebound and post up in the NBA.
