That guy at the end, the old man that promotes that show, and Mr. Mint can all take a long walk off a short pier. The industry isn't dead nor will it ever be. With every generation it evolves; sometimes for the better, sometimes not. But regardless...it moves on. I was at that Chicago show they spoke about and the one thing that I noticed more than ever...the amount of kids at the show!!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how many of my students will jump all over the opportunity to get free sports cards. Unfortunately, most of them don't turn into collectors... they just like the fact that they're getting something for free.

Kids don't care?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI'm 13, and have been collecting since I was 9 years old. I love baseball & baseball cards. Nothing can put a smile on my face as fast as getting a hobby box for christmas or my dad buying me a blaster box from Wal-Mart.
