I was sorting through a stack of mish-mash on my ball card desk. I have an odd assortment of stuff there. Amongst the pile of ticket stubs, cabinet cards, and other odd sized crap, I found this 1998 Topps Finest Jerry Rice card. Rice was recently named the greatest player in the history of the NFL.
The scan is really bad. The card is chromious in nature and has a protective coating. The words"PEEL AND REMOVE" are printed on it. I'm sure the card would look a million times better without the coating, but I don't want to wreck it trying. You can see the odd size of the card as it sits next to a 1991 Pro Set Platinum.
first and foremost... PEEL IT! PEEL IT NOW!!! SET IT FREE!!!!!!
ReplyDeletesecond, what the hell kind of drugs were those three guys on when they selected Jerry Rice as the best of all time?!?!?!?
I'm with the Captain... if it was mine, I'd peel it. If it were an expensive or rare card, I'd say keep the protective peel on it... but nobody is going to miss it... and it'd make the card look 10x better.
